This Privacy Policy explains how DominatUp collects, uses and protects personal information when you use the DominatUp mobile application and the website dominatup.com.
1. Who we are
DominatUp is the developer of the DominatUp mobile application and of the website dominatup.com. The app connects clients with artisans for home services in Morocco, including plumbing, electrical work, carpentry, painting and masonry. 2. Information we collect
We collect the information needed to run the marketplace. • Account: first name, last name, email address, phone number, and a password stored in hashed form. If you sign in with Google or another provider, we receive an account identifier from that provider. • Profile: profile photo, address, city, province, postal code and country. You may also provide gender and date of birth. Artisans may add a profession, company details and photos of their work. • Location: precise or approximate location from your device, only after you allow it, so we can show nearby artisans and a service address. We do not collect location in the background. • Jobs and messages: service requests, quotes, orders, reviews, invoices, and chat content (text, photos, documents, voice messages and locations you choose to share). • Photos and files: images taken with the camera or chosen from your gallery, and files you attach in chat. • Payments: whether you pay online or in cash, the amount and the payment status. Card details are handled by our payment partner (CMI) and are not stored on DominatUp servers. • Device: a push-notification token, app language, and basic activity data (such as last login) used to operate and secure the service. • Support: information you send us by email or through the website contact form.
3. How we use information
We use personal information to: • create and manage your account and review artisan profiles; • show artisans near you and display maps; • let clients and artisans chat, send quotes, confirm jobs and leave reviews; • send notifications about messages and orders; • process payments and provide invoices; • moderate messages, prevent fraud and keep the platform safe; • answer support requests; • comply with the law. We do not sell your personal information and we do not use it for third-party advertising.
4. App permissions
On Android, DominatUp may ask for the following permissions. You can deny them in the system dialog or later in your device settings. Some features will not work without them. • Location (precise and approximate): used while the app is open to find artisans near you and to attach a place to a service request. • Camera: used when you take a photo for your profile, your portfolio or proof of completed work. • Photos and media: used when you choose an existing image to upload. • Notifications: used to alert you about messages, quotes and order updates. You can turn notifications off in the app or in Android settings.
5. Who we share information with
We share information only to provide DominatUp. • The other person on a job (client or artisan) can see the profile details and messages needed for that job. • Service providers that process data on our behalf: Clerk (sign-in), Google Maps (maps), Cloudinary (photos and files), CMI (online payments), Expo (push notifications), our email provider, and an AI provider used to assist users and to moderate chat. These providers may only use the data to perform that service. • Authorities, when the law requires it, or when it is necessary to protect users, investigate abuse or defend our rights. We do not sell personal data.
6. How long we keep information
We keep account and job information while your account is open and for as long as needed to finish orders, resolve disputes, keep invoices and meet legal duties. After you ask us to delete your account, we delete or anonymize personal information we no longer need. We may keep invoices and payment records where the law requires it.
7. Your choices, access and deletion
You can update your profile in the app. You can turn off location, camera, photos and notifications in your device settings. To request access, correction or deletion of your account and personal data, email dominatup@gmail.com from the address linked to your account. Include the phone number on the account so we can identify it. We will delete or anonymize your personal data within a reasonable time, except records we must keep by law (such as invoices). You may also object to certain uses of your data by contacting the same address.
8. Children
DominatUp is a service for adults. It is not directed at children under 18, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from children. If you believe a child has given us personal information, email dominatup@gmail.com and we will delete it.
9. Security
We protect information with access controls, encrypted connections (HTTPS) and hashed passwords. No online service can guarantee absolute security. Please keep your password private.
10. Where data is processed
DominatUp is operated from Morocco. Some providers (hosting, maps, sign-in, photos and notifications) may process data in other countries solely to run the app.
11. Changes to this policy
We may update this policy. We will change the date at the top of this page. If a change is important, we will notify you in the app or by email when we can. The policy published at this address is the current version.
